Stro Elliot – Stro Elliot

Stro Elliot is an incredible producer and performer. Plain and simple. His productions mold the past and the present into futuristic soul splashed gems that turn heads whenever they are heard. His ability to breathe new life into already classic records is one of the reasons he is one of the most respected producers of the day.

Stro has had a hell of a year. Whether it was the multiple Boiler Room sets, the Beats1/Soulection radio show, producing for Phonte and Eric Roberson, working with the Roots on their upcoming album, and performing with the Wu-Tang Clan at the Roots Picnic in NYC, to being featured on the highly acclaimed HAMILTON mixtape, smashing Mass Appeal’s RHYTHM ROULETTE, and turning the heads of some of the illest minds in music at Jazzy Jeff’s Playlist Retreat, Stro Elliot had best be on your radar now if he wasn’t already.

Stro is NOT NEW TO THIS. In fact, some of the beats on this album are damn near 10 years old. And those 10 damn near 10 year old beats kick most of 2016’s contemporary hip hop in the ass. Producing heat for his group The Procussions for years, among others, this album finds Stro taking his sound on the road, literally and figuratively. December 16th marks the release date for Stro Elliot’s debut LP, brought to you by STREET CORNER MUSIC. It’s been a long time coming. That time is now.

From “The Summer Love Song”, where he beats the shit out of Kool and the Gang’s perrenial classic “Summer Madness”, to the absolutely ridiculous flip of “Soul II Stro”, to “Virginia Wolf”, where he sings about relationship woes, it’s all flawless. Street Corner Music is proud to present the debut LP from one of the best to do it.
