Shortee Blitz – Unafraid To Fall

Shortee Blitz’s meticulously crafted catalogue continues to expand, with the release of brand new EP project, Unafraid To Fall.

The record, following on from his …1st Step EP in 2022, is another perfectly executed collection of music that reinforces the producer and DJ’s status as one of the sharpest minds in the game.

Lead single ‘On God’ served as a strong champion of the direction Shortee Blitz heads down on Unafraid To Fall, incorporating a dynamic trio of guests including the legendary Royce Da 5’9”, Durrty Goodz and Miss R Lee. A tone-setting release, ‘On God’ speaks to the wider Unafraid To Fall project: a sharp and effortless mix of production and lyricism.

Further on the project, listeners can revel in new Shortee Blitz collabs with incredible artists including the one and only Talib Kweli (‘Shine’), Jah Digga, J Littles & Stan (‘Notts Mindstate’), and Britizen Kane (‘Anti Blitz’).

What makes each joint shine independently, and still remain fiercely cohesive as a collection of material, is the room allowed for each creative to flex. There exists a variety of lyrical flavours and urgency throughout Unafraid To Fall – but when matched together, the songs flow effortlessly in its larger form.

“I’ve been a fan of the culture longer than I can remember… I love this shit so much, that I’ll do anything to defend it.

So me, being a successful and accomplished DJ and broadcaster, that has taken me all over the world MANY times, the way I do my thing, which is unmistakably Hip Hop, I have no other desire but to preserve this thing for future generations to fall head over heels in love with it, like it did for me.

So when it came to producing projects it took me nearly 30 years to really feel that I’m qualified enough to do this chapter of my life in this culture.
