Rubi Du – Calling

Rubi Du returns to her first love Reggae music with the brand new single ‘Calling’. Produced by Brazilian Jahwise Productions who has previously worked with Luciano and Queen Omega, the new track sees Rubi Du connect with her Rastafarian roots.

Already known to audiences in Aotearoa through her former project, SilvaMC, Rubi Du has solidified her place as the Queen of Aotearoa’s Roots and Dancehall scene, backed up with solid number of releases with an undeniably addictive live performance attitude – most recently seen on tour with Aotearoa’s kings of dub themselves, Fat Freddy’s Drop. Making waves in Aotearoa and beyond, Rubi Du’s sphere of influence is starting to stretch around the world.

Her versatility as an artist exemplified on heater tracks including ‘Brown Skin’ and ‘Bigga Tingz’ and saw her take out Favourite Solo Act at the 2022 Studio Radio Network Awards. Rubi Du is continuing to expand her sonic palette and board of inspirations as she heads further into new territory on her upcoming slate of projects for this year.
