PlaneFace is not of this world. The universe is his playground and just like a shooting star across the midnight sky, if you look up and happen to witness the magic, he will fuel you to revel in the unknown with wander and curiosity. The Headnod Factor is proud to present a relatively unknown musical force hailing from Sydney who calls himself PlaneFace.

PlaneFace aka Danny Pliner has performed and recorded with Dereb the Ambassador, Son Veneno, Mister Ott, Slowpoke Rodriguez, Karsten Troyke, Zohar’s Nigun, Watussi, Camino, Oyobi, Darth Vegas, Slimey Things, Cardboard Heroes, The Sticks, The Strides, and The Asthmatix. Studio recordings include George Maple, Two Another, Jones Jnr, Brian Campeau and P Major.

As a live touring artist, Danny Pliner as showcased his live keyboard dexterity for Wallace, Natalie Slade, Ursula Yovich, The Posse, Edwin Bonilla (USA), QVLN, Barefoot Divas, Ordequis Reve (Cuba), Felix Balloy (Cuba), Eddie Perfect, Bill Summers (USA), not to mentioning sharing the stage with Slum Village, Earth, Wind and Fire, Snarky Puppy, Los Van Van, Regurgitator and Steel Pulse.

Under the alias PlaneFace, as a solo artist, his production is richly esoteric, expansive, textured and deeply rooted in what he aptly describes as space fonk, asteroid jazz music.

“Fishing From An Astroid” is a 7 track EP that journey’s across spatial landscape, higher planes and dimensions. He delivers synth heavy melodies, off-kilter beat production influenced by the likes of Dilla and Madlib. You can lock his music away in a time capsule and no matter the epoch, his sound will transcend and speak to every dreamer of its generation.
