Acclaimed Perth MC Coin Banks has announced a 5-city national tour kicking off in August in support of his forthcoming Outside Looking In EP, out next Friday June 30 via Low Key Source. The news of his first headline tour since 2014 follows the recent release of his blissful new single ‘Forgive Us’ ft. The WAAPA Gospel Choir.

Coin Banks will take Outside Looking In on the road during August and September, performing the EP live for the first time with special guests still to be announced. The tour kicks off in Melbourne, before bringing his energetic stage presence, emotive lyricism and clever wordplay across to Canberra, Sydney, Perth and finally closing out the tour in Adelaide.

Joyous EP opener and lead single ‘Forgive Us’ has been added to rotation on stations including 4ZZZ, RTR FM and triple j Unearthed, plus airplay nationally including on triple j, FBi Radio and SYN FM. An array of lauded artists have collaborated across the other five tracks on the Outside Looking In EP, from Brisbane-based Ezra James providing vocals for ‘Pull Up’ and ‘Problems’ rounding out the songs with a smooth, RnB sound, to three-time World DMC Champion 20Syl who produced the latter. Atom lends his touch to ‘BreakBanks’, throwing it back to the late 80s/early 90s break-dance and hip-hop scene, while James Chatburn’s silky, soulful chorus amplifies the tenderness on ‘Stay In Bed’, which along with the sparkly ‘Handlebars’ was produced by Cam O’bi who has collaborated with Chance The Rapper and Kendrick Lamar.

Perth rapper Coin Banks has quickly established his position as one of Australia’s most exciting voices in hip-hop, since the release of his singles ‘Think of You’ and ‘Hatches’ in 2014, fusing classic and contemporary styling in his inventive storytelling. His unparalleled run has charted local and international tours including supporting the likes of Cypress HillMacklemore & Ryan Lewis, Action Bronson and Illy, saw him round out 2015 as the Most Played Artist on triple j Unearthed and nominated as their Artist of the Year, plus a string of accolades including WAM Urban Artist of the Year in 2015 and WAM Song of the Year in 2015 and 2016.
